Two months later.  Spring time came and went and now it is 112 outside.

Early in May my front yard cactus bloomed, looking very pretty.

Yellow cactus.

Matt and I found a new restaurant, a diner. We have had Saturday lunch there twice.

Homer and Matt.

We went to the Tucson Botanical Gardens one day and wandered around. In the butterfly room we saw lots of pretty butterflies.

I have been doing some monitoring and surveys. At one place there were some chihuahuas, this one let me pick it up for a moment.

Doggy.

At the Assistance League thrift store I found a cute orange shirt for six dollars.

Snowball is 12-years-old now. Getting that old cat skinniness.

I bought a huge meat platter at an estate sale in Green Valley. It is from the 1820s.

Platter. And plates.

My Amish brother arrived for his first visit. We did many things.

1). Dinner at Rosa's. He had tacos, his first Mexican restaurant.
2). Mission Garden.
3). The Presidio.
4). My office.
5). The Tucson Zoo. We got to see the elephants come out.

6). Mount Lemmon where he had a picnic.

Lee having a sandwich.

7). A pizza party with Matt, Doug, Elizabeth, Addison, and Ann. We had a lovely time.
8). The Grand Canyon- very crowded, I do not like heights.

Hole in the ground.

9). We drove to Holbrook where the next morning we had to stop for a train and I got out and took photos of the cute dinosaurs.

Prideasaurex Rex.

10). Petrified Forest. We saw the trees, petroglyphs, painted desert, and a pueblo.

Painted Desert.

11). Then a lengthy drive to Monte Vista, Colorado where I dropped him off so he could attend an Amish wedding,.

Then I drove south, spending the night at a place between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. The next morning I started driving to Tucson. At a rest stop the engine light came on and I discovered that the car had difficulty driving up hills. I correctly guessed it was a spark plug issue and yesterday spent $180 getting them replaced.

I'm busy watching a bizarre gothic soap opera from 1969-1970, Strange Paradise. The first 50 episodes- tedious. Finally things started to happen, a woman arose from the dead, characters started being killed off.

I am trying to get the Presidio family history book reprinted. And also working on the saloon book. Busy, busy, busy.
